报告人简介🤾🏼♀️: William J Layton博士是美国匹兹堡大学教授🙅🏻♀️,师从Max Gunzburger。长期从事湍流建模和算法分析,大涡模拟,多物理多区域模型算法🚵🏽♂️,多重网格牛顿法,数值方法的长时间稳定等方面的研究,在国际著名杂志SIAM J Numer Anal, SIAM J Sci Comp, Numer Math, Math Comp, Comput Methods Appl Mech Engrg等上发表论文160多篇,著作4本,包括《Mathematics of Large Eddy Simulation of Turbulent Flows》👷🏽、《Introduction to Finite Element Methods for Incompressible, Viscous Flows》、《Approximate Deconvolution Models of Turbulence: Analysis, Phenomenology and Numerical Analysis》等。Layton教授也是国际期刊 ETNA🧑🏼🦱,Journal Mathematical Analysis and Applications (JMAA),SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis (SINUM),Advances in Numerical Analysis (ANA)的编委。
报告内容: This talk will present some new, promising and partially tested ideas (some good and some bad) for accurate prediction of fluid motion. These address turbulence modelling, time accuracy, deterministic chaos, computational, space and cognitive complexity (all major issues in practical flow simulations). |
